STARTING SERVICE WITH OTAY WATER DISTRICT

To ensure uninterrupted service, if you have or are about to move to a property with water and/or sewer service provided by the Otay Water District, please call Customer Service at (619) 670-2222 to have the account(s) transferred into your name. There is a set-up fee for this service, which will appear on the first bill. This charge covers staff time needed to read the meter and input the new information in the District's computer system.

In addition to the set-up fee, renters and other non-owners applying for service will be charged a deposit due within 7 days from the start of service. The size of the meter determines the amount of the deposit.  The deposit will be refunded after one year, provided the account shows no more than one late payment. For customers with more than one delinquency, or who terminate service within the first year, the closing bill will be deducted from the deposit. Any outstanding charges will be billed and any remaining deposit will be refunded to the customer.

PAY YOUR BILL ONLINE

Click here to pay your Otay Water bill online.  Using our online services, customers can make a one-time payment, schedule future payments or setup automatic payment for their monthly bill.

 

ONLINE PAYMENTS THROUGH YOUR OWN FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

Otay Water District accepts payment made through your financial institution's bill pay service.  The District typically receives these payments electronically within 24 to 72 hours.

 

PAY STATIONS

Payments can be made Monday through Friday at our DISTRICT OFFICE located at 2554 Sweetwater Springs Blvd. in Spring Valley between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.  An afterhours drop box is also provided for your convenience.

Payments may also be made at any Checkfeepay location (to find a location nearest you, please visit www.checkfreepay.com).  Participating Checkfreepay locations include Walmart stores nationwide and the following POSTAL ANNEX:

PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE

Debit and credit card customers can pay their bill 24/7 over the phone. Customers can call us at 619-670-2222, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. You must have your Otay account number to use this feature. In addition to VISA and MasterCard debit/credit card payments, our phone service accepts Discover and American Express.
