ABOUT THE OTAY WATER DISTRICT

Q: What is Otay Water District?
A: Otay Water District is a publicly owned water and sewer service agency. Its ordinances, policies, taxes and rates for service are set by five Directors, elected by voters in their respective divisions to serve staggered, four-year terms on its Governing Board. The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm and the public is invited. In addition, the District is one of the fastest growing water districts and currently has a growing service area of approximately 125.5 square miles of southeastern San Diego County, California.

Q: How many individuals does the District employ?
A: There are approximately 170 employees working for the District.

Q: How do I find the Human Resources Office?
A: The Human Resources Office is located within the Otay Water District Offices at:
2554 Sweetwater Springs Blvd.

Otay Water District is located in the east county off highway 94.
You can view a map to the District offices or use the following instructions:

From I-5 or I-805
Take 94 east. Exit at Sweetwater Springs Blvd off ramp. Take a right turn onto Sweetwater Springs Blvd; stay of the left hand side. The District is on the corner of Jamacha and Sweetwater Spring Blvd. ? when you cross Jamacha intersection, you will see a sign "Welcome to Otay Water District, Administrative Offices," take a right and go up the hill to the main entrance.

From I-8 Take I-8 east
Take the 125 south highway. Exit on 94 east/Spring Street off ramp; stay in center lane and make a left. Follow the 94 east signs. Exit at Sweetwater Springs Blvd off ramp. Take a right turn onto Sweetwater Springs Blvd; stay of the left hand side. The District is on the corner of Jamacha and Sweetwater Spring Blvd. When you cross Jamacha intersection, you will see a sign "Welcome to Otay Water District, Administrative Offices", take a right and go up the hill to the main entrance.

Q: How do I apply for positions at the District?
A: Submit a District Application and any other requirements as indicated on the job announcement. Applications are only accepted when there is a job opening. Resumes may not be submitted in lieu of a District Application.
