ABOUT THE OTAY WATER DISTRICT

Q: What is Otay Water District?
A: Otay Water District is a publicly owned water and sewer service agency. Its ordinances, policies, taxes and rates for service are set by five Directors, elected by voters in their respective divisions to serve staggered, four-year terms on its Governing Board. The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm and the public is invited. In addition, the District is one of the fastest growing water districts and currently has a growing service area of approximately 125.5 square miles of southeastern San Diego County, California.

A: There are approximately 166 employees working for the District.
