STARTING SERVICE WITH OTAY WATER DISTRICT
If you have or are about
to move to a property with water and/or sewer service
provided by the Otay Water District, to ensure
uninterrupted service, please call Customer Service at
(619) 670-2777 to have the account(s) transferred into
your name. There is a set-up fee for this service, which
will appear on the first bill. This charge covers staff
time needed to read the meter and enter the new
information on our computer.
In addition to the set-up fee,
renters and other non-owners applying for service will
be charged a deposit due within 7 days from the start of
service. The size of the meter determines the amount of
the deposit, the deposit will be refunded after one
year, provided the account shows no more than one late
payment. For customers with more than one delinquency,
or who terminate service within the first year, the
closing bill will be deducted from the deposit. Any
outstanding charges will be billed and any remaining
deposit will be refunded to the customer.

Monday through Friday at our DISTRICT OFFICE located at 2554 Sweetwater Springs Blvd. in Spring Valley between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

drop box is also provided for your convenience.

ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT
OPTIONS
Electronic Automatic Payment (ACH) where funds are automatically transferred from your checking or savings account each month. Customer using this option still receive their monthly statement to verify consumption, calculations and deduct from personal account prior to the auto deduct. This option eliminates the possibility of late payments, and alleviates concerns when taking vacations.

PHONE
Debit and credit card
customers now have more payment options and can pay
their bill 24/7. Customers can call us at 619-670-2777,
24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. You must have your
Otay account number to use this feature. In addition to
VISA and MasterCard debit/credit card payments, our
credit card service now accepts Discover and American
Express. A $4.80 fee is applied to credit card
transactions.
