In order to bring attention to our
most precious resource water, the Otay Water District,
Helix Water District and the Sweetwater Authority is
sponsoring a photo contest for high school students.
Ever since the first people entered this
semi-arid corner of North America
thousands of years ago, finding, securing, protecting,
and conserving drinkable water has been a challenge.
Water has been a driving force in
San Diego
County's history and
continues to be an issue of great importance today.
Photographs themed around water our
most vital resource pay tribute to the people and
history of San
Diego.
Subject Matter:
Any photo taken in San Diego County
during 2009-2010 that depicts water or a water theme,
e.g. water in a puddle = water; a dry river bed = water
theme.
