WHAT YOU CAN DO TO SAVE WATER

DID YOU KNOW?

.

Ø    Each person uses about 123 GALLONS of water per day.

Ø    About 60% of the water used by each household is used outdoors.

Ø    The majority of our indoor water use is toilets and clothes washers.

Ø    Each square foot of your lawn needs about 4 feet of water per year.

Ø    Our average rainfall in San Diego is 10 inches.

Ø    We import 90% of our water.

San Diego needs to use its limited water supply wisely.  There are many things that each person and homeowner can do to make sure that we will always have a supply of water.
