Otay Invites Its Customers to a Special “Appreciation Day” at the Garden
The Water Conservation Garden will host a Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for ratepayers of water agencies supporting the Garden. The free event is dedicated to customers of Otay Water District, Helix Water District, Sweetwater Authority, and the City of San Diego.
Customers and their families can enjoy free shave ice, activities for kids, butterfly encounters, and a talk on tortoises. At the event, the Garden will also offer advice on water-efficient landscaping and a tour of its water-wise-themed exhibits. Visitors also can learn how to “Toss the Turf” and discover a variety of plants and tips for growing a water-wise garden. Water agencies will provide visitors with giveaway items and information on water use and services.
The Garden is nearly six-acres of garden-themed displays that showcase water conservation and other natural resources to inspire positive change in the living environment. The Garden is located at 12122 Cuyamaca College Drive West, El Cajon, CA 92019. Parking and admission is free. For more information and directions to the Garden, visit thegarden.org.
